Colorbar Kiss Proof (haute latte)

Friday, February 26, 2016

Hello everyone….!!!

Today I am going to review  lip stain from Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain range named as Haute Latte. Colorbar has recently launched 8 matte lip stains. Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain Haute Latte is more suitable as daily wear and for them who do not feel comfortable in bright lip colors.

The brand claims that this transfer proof Lip stain formula delivers velvety color that lasts the whole day. The lip stain does not feel heavy on the lips and glides on smoothly and provides all-day comfort.

Ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Isododecane, Trimethylsiloxyslicate, Paraffin, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cera Alba, Disterardimonium Hectorite, Dimethicone, Behenyl Metharcylate / t-butylmetharcylate Copolymer, Isopropyl Titanium Triisosterate, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate.

Net Wt: 6.5 ml

Shelf Life: 36 months

Packaging: The lip stain comes in the Colorbar’s signature metallic silver cardboard. The glass tube containing the lip stain looks very sleek and travel friendly. The body of the tube has two transparent panels which come handy to fish out the right shade and to measure how much product is left.

Shade: The shade of Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain Haute latte is a neutral brown with maroon undertone. This is a kind of lipstick shade which goes extremely well with Indian complexion.

Texture and Pigmentation: The formula of the lip stain is creamy at the beginning which makes the application very easy. After drying the cream becomes complete matte. This lip stain is extremely pigmented. A single swipe is enough to cover up my pigmented lips. The doe foot applicator is very easy to work with and pick up enough cream in one dip. After drying the lip stain does not bleed or smudge and transfer at all. It stays intact on my lips for almost 5 to 6 hours if I don’t take any heavy meal in between. It starts fading unevenly from the center which looks horrible after sometime. It is better to wipe out the previous layer before retouching to avoid the formation of dry flakes on the lips.

The formula of Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain Haute Latte is quite drying like any matte lip stains. I always scrub and moisturize my lips before applying the stain. Ladies with normal lips may go on whole day with it . But after applying balm or any moisturizer the stain starts transferring and fading eventually. Due to its complete matte texture the stain does not sets in fine lines and gives a smooth polished finishing.

Pros:

The Shade of Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip StainHaute Latte is a beautiful maroon-ish brown which looks very flattering on medium to dark Indian skin tone.
The formula is creamy but becomes absolutely matte within few seconds after application.
After drying the stain does not transfer at all.
The liquid stain spreads out on the lips smoothly.
The lip stain stays on for 5 to 6 hours with light or no meals in between.
The color does not bleed or smudge.
This range of lip stain is free from any preservative and Enriched with Vitamin E providing antioxidant properties.

Cons:

Like most of the matte lip stains the formula is quite drying on the lips.
If lip balm is applied over the lip stain then it starts transferring.
The color starts fading from the center of the lips unevenly after the wear-time or a heavy meal.
Before retouching the previous layer must be removed properly.
Before application the lips should be properly moisturized and scrubbed.
Overall I am happy with Colorbar Kiss Proof Lip Stain Haute Latte for its amazing color pay off, pigmentation and staying power. The shade makes an awesome daily wear lip color for girls of medium complexion like me and stays on for decent amount of time.
